CERAMIC POLISHING
Ceramic wheel polishing is the fascinating multi-stage process used with custom made machines from Germany with adjustable bottom and side vibratory motors mounted in specific angles & locations on a large spring mounted steel bowl lined with polyurethane. These machines combined with water, liquid chemical compounds, different abrasive levels/styles/shapes of ceramic media can achieve an amazing raw metal polish finish on wheels like nothing else! A finish far greater than any other wheel polish finish available by anyone else in Australia. The hi Lustre shine is on another level it looks like an insane bright chrome. Comparing it to a freshly chrome plated wheel the differences are very small and for less than the cost of actual chrome plating!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
There is a lot of time and hard work involved to create this finish. Anywhere from 16-40 hours+ of work sanding the metal smooth and being in the ceramic polish machine for the 3 stages.
We can only make the metal as shiny as it will let us. We are not miracle workers and cannot offer you perfection as it’s unobtainable.. however we can get super close !!
PRICE
Price can only really be estimated once we see the wheels in person! If this estimate is in your price range we chemical strip them back to raw metal. We can then say an exact price. However as a guide a price per multi-piece wheel face and/or a complete single piece wheel starts at $777 for a wheel that has never been polished before.
However we do need to see them in person first and prices can vary as every wheel or face is different. This includes us chemical stripping the face to back raw metal. Now if the wheel centre is currently chrome plated then we need to send this away to be chrome stripped. This is an added cost.
We do offer other plated finishes such as chrome, 24k gold and copper plating on wheels however they need to be ceramic polished first. then copper plated and polished. Then nickel plated and finally chrome plated. It’s a lot of knowledge and time spent. Chrome plating multi start at $1100 each, copper playing starts at $1250 each and 24k gold plating starts at $2000 each
